Perceptron 1.1
The perceptron is the basic element of a neuralnetwork.Thisdidactic application shows how the perceptron learnsand predicts abinary sequence. First, press the red and the greenbutton in arepeating (e.g. alternating) pattern. As you can see,the synapticweights quickly adjust themselves, and the perceptronpredicts thesequence correctly within short time. Next, press thebuttonsrandomly. If your input is perfectly random, only 50% ofthepredictions are expected to be correct. If the gauge showsmorethan 50%, this indicates hidden correlations, meaning that youarenot a perfect random number generator.
